Golden, crispy churro bites coated in sweet cinnamon sugar, made healthier in the air fryer and ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray or oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup (120g) of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 1/4 cup (60ml) of milk, and 1 large egg.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Scoop small portions of dough (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll them into bite-sized balls.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  6. Place the dough balls in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each one. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
  7. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup (50g) of granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.
  8. While the bites are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  9. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For best results, toss the churro bites in cinnamon sugar while they are still warm. If the dough feels sticky, dust your hands with a little flour before shaping.
