  • 8 cups (2 liters) apple cider
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) caramel sauce
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg or 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/4 cup (60 ml) bourbon
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, pour in 8 cups (2 liters) of apple cider and set it over medium heat.
  2. Add 1/2 cup (120 ml) of caramel sauce and whisk until fully dissolved.
  3. Drop in 3 cinnamon sticks, 6 whole cloves, and a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg (or 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg). Stir gently to combine.
  4. Let the punch simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the cinnamon sticks and cloves using a spoon or strainer.
  6. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract and adjust sweetness by adding more caramel sauce if desired.
  7. If serving adults, add 1/4 cup (60 ml) of bourbon and stir to combine.
  8. Slice a fresh apple into thin rounds or wedges for garnish.
  9. Serve the punch warm in mugs, topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel if desired. Garnish with an apple slice.
