  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Add chicken, onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to the crockpot. Sprinkle thyme, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper over the top.
  2. Pour chicken broth and heavy cream into the crockpot, ensuring the chicken and vegetables are submerged.
  3. Set the crockpot to low and cook for 6-8 hours, or high for 4-5 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until a soft dough forms.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the crockpot. Cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes, or until dumplings are cooked through.
  6. Give the mixture a gentle stir and ladle into bowls. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
