  • 1 shot (1.5 oz) spiced rum
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup sparkling wine
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional garnish: cinnamon sticks, apple slices, or cinnamon-sugar rim

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cinnamon-sugar rim by mixing 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon on a small plate. Wet the rim of your cocktail glass with a slice of lemon and dip it into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker or mason jar, combine apple cider, spiced rum, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  3. Shake well for 15-20 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Strain the mixture into your prepared cocktail glass, leaving room for the sparkling wine.
  5. Top off the cocktail with sparkling wine, pouring gently to maintain the fizz.
