A quick and easy 3-ingredient milkshake featuring creamy vanilla ice cream, whole milk, and crunchy broken cookies for a nostalgic, indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) vanilla ice cream (full-fat, e.g., Häagen-Dazs)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk (can substitute almond or oat milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 cup (100 g) broken cookies (chocolate chip, Oreos, or shortbread recommended)
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or splash of vanilla extract
  • Optional: whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Break the cookies into medium-sized chunks (about half-inch pieces) to keep a satisfying crunch. Avoid pulverizing into crumbs. (5 minutes)
  2. Scoop 2 cups (480 ml) of vanilla ice cream into the blender. Add 1 cup (240 ml) of whole milk. (2 minutes)
  3. Pulse the ice cream and milk together 3-4 times to combine and smooth out the mixture without making it too liquid. Aim for a thick, creamy base. (1-2 minutes)
  4. Add 1 cup (100 g) of broken cookie chunks. Pulse 2-3 times to fold them in without crushing too much. (1 minute)
  5. Check consistency: if too thick, add a splash more milk and blend briefly; if too thin, add a small scoop more ice cream. (1 minute)
  6. Serve immediately in a glass or mason jar. Add a straw and optionally a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy! (1 minute)

Notes

Pulse the blender instead of continuous blending to keep cookie chunks crunchy. Use slightly softened ice cream for smooth blending. Toast stale cookies lightly in a dry pan to restore crunch. Chill serving glasses for a colder milkshake experience. For dairy-free, use coconut or nut-based ice cream and almond or oat milk.
