Quick and easy air fryer donuts made from canned biscuit dough, crispy on the outside and tender inside, ready in just 5 minutes. Perfect for busy mornings or last-minute treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 canned biscuit dough (Pillsbury flaky layers preferred)
  • Vegetable oil or canola oil (for brushing)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional glaze: powdered sugar mixed with a splash of milk or vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C), about 3 minutes.
  2. Open the canned biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Press each biscuit into a donut shape by poking a hole in the center.
  3. Brush each shaped biscuit lightly with oil.
  4. Place donuts in the air fryer basket with space between each donut.
  5. Air fry for 5 minutes at 350°F (175°C), flipping halfway through at 2.5 minutes.
  6. While donuts cook, mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  7. Remove donuts from the air fryer and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture while warm.
  8. Optional: Drizzle cooled donuts with a glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.

Notes

Brush donuts lightly with oil to achieve a crispy texture without greasiness. Flip donuts halfway through cooking for even browning. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer to maintain crispiness. Variations include gluten-free biscuit dough, sweet or savory coatings, and filled donuts.
