A quick and easy recipe for crispy, juicy burger bowls loaded with cheese, fresh toppings, and a flavorful sauce, perfect for a bun-free indulgent meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 100 g)
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ½ cup sliced dill pickles
  • ¼ cup Blackstone burger sauce (or mix of mayo, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients (10 minutes): Finely dice the onion, dice the tomato, slice the pickles, and shred the lettuce. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp, then crumble and set aside.
  2. Form the Patties (5 minutes): In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into roughly ¾-inch thick patties, slightly larger than the bowls you plan to use.
  3. Preheat the Blackstone Griddle (5 minutes): Heat your griddle to medium-high (around 375°F).
  4. Cook the Patties (8-10 minutes): Place the patties on the griddle, pressing lightly for good contact. Cook 4–5 minutes until edges crisp and brown, then flip. Immediately sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and cook another 4–5 minutes until desired doneness.
  5. Assemble the Bowls (5 minutes): Place shredded lettuce at the bottom of each bowl. Add a patty with melted cheese on top. Layer diced tomatoes, onions, pickles, and crumbled bacon.
  6. Add Sauce and Serve: Drizzle Blackstone burger sauce generously over each bowl. Optionally add hot sauce or smoked paprika.

Notes

Do not press down on patties while cooking to keep juices inside. Cover patties briefly with a lid to help cheese melt faster. Reheat leftovers in a skillet over medium heat to restore crispiness. Store toppings separately to avoid sogginess.
