A quick and easy air fryer recipe for crispy honey butter roasted corn on the cob with a sweet, smoky, and buttery glaze that delivers a crunchy, caramelized finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob, husked and cleaned
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (sea salt flakes recommended)
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Husk and clean 4 ears of corn, removing all silk. Pat dry with a towel to remove any moisture.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons honey, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well blended.
  3. Use a basting brush to generously coat each ear of corn with the honey butter mixture, making sure to get into the crevices between kernels.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat for about 3 minutes.
  5. Place the glazed ears of corn in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, turning the corn halfway through with tongs. Watch closely after 10 minutes to avoid burning the glaze.
  7. Once cooked, remove the corn and brush a little more honey butter on while it’s hot for an extra sticky finish. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt flakes if desired.
  8. Serve immediately while warm with extra butter or your favorite seasoning blend.

Notes

Patting the corn dry before glazing helps the butter stick and promotes crisping. Brush the honey butter glaze generously but avoid too thick a layer to prevent burning. Turn the corn halfway through cooking for even crisping. Adjust temperature or time if glaze burns. Fresh corn is best for crisp texture; frozen corn can be used but will be less crispy. Variations include adding cayenne pepper for spice, using vegan butter and maple syrup for a vegan version, or sprinkling cheese after cooking.
