A quick and easy recipe for juicy pork chops with a crispy Parmesan crust made in the air fryer. Perfect for busy weeknights and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops, bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme blend)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Pat 4 pork chops dry with paper towels to ensure the crust sticks well and prevents steaming.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan, ½ cup panko breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat 2 large eggs until smooth.
  4. Dip each pork chop into the beaten eggs, letting excess drip off, then press firmly into the Parmesan mixture on both sides.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Place the coated pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each chop for air circulation.
  7. Lightly mist the tops of the chops with olive oil spray.
  8. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  9. Let the pork chops rest for 3-5 minutes before serving to lock in juices.

Notes

Pat pork chops dry before coating to ensure crispiness. Press the coating firmly onto the chops to prevent it from falling off. Flip gently halfway through cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Lightly spray olive oil for a golden crust. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. For gluten-free, substitute panko with almond flour. For dairy-free, use vegan Parmesan alternatives.
