A quick and refreshing summer slushie made with just frozen strawberries and lemonade, perfect for hot days and backyard gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (about 300 grams) frozen strawberries, whole and unsweetened
  • 1 cup (240 ml) lemonade, freshly made or good-quality store-bought

Instructions

  1. Measure out the frozen strawberries (2 cups / 300 grams). Ensure they are whole and firm, not thawed or mushy.
  2. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of lemonade into the blender. If using fresh lemonade, strain out pulp for smoother texture.
  3. Add the frozen strawberries to the lemonade in the blender, leaving some space for blending.
  4. Start blending on low speed, using the pulse function if available to gradually break down the fruit and prevent overheating.
  5. Gradually increase to high speed and blend for about 30-45 seconds until smooth but still thick and slushy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  6. Check the texture; it should be thick enough to hold its shape but easy to sip through a straw. If too thick, add a tablespoon of lemonade at a time; if too thin, add a few more frozen strawberries and pulse again.
  7. Pour into chilled tall glasses. Garnish with a fresh strawberry or lemon wedge if desired.
  8. Serve immediately to enjoy the perfect icy refreshment.

Notes

Use fully frozen strawberries for best texture. Pulse the blender to avoid overheating and maintain icy consistency. Chill glasses before serving. Avoid adding ice to prevent dilution. Freshly squeezed or good-quality lemonade enhances flavor. Serve immediately as slushies melt fast. Leftovers can be frozen and stirred every 20-30 minutes to maintain texture.
