A creamy, tangy cheese ball shaped like a pumpkin, coated in crunchy goodness, perfect for fall gatherings.

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed crackers or pretzels
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 small bell pepper stem

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  2. Transfer the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap. Shape it into a ball using your hands, wrapping it tightly in the plastic wrap to hold the shape. Press lines into the ball to mimic the ridges of a pumpkin.
  3. Place the wrapped cheese ball in the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour.
  4. Crush crackers or pretzels into fine crumbs and mix with chopped pecans in a shallow dish.
  5. Remove the cheese ball from the fridge and unwrap it. Roll it in the cracker-pecan mixture until fully coated, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks.
  6. Insert the bell pepper stem on top to complete the pumpkin look. Transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for easier mixing. Chill the cheese ball for at least 1 hour to set. Customize flavors with Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, or fresh herbs.
