These vibrant golden immunity shots blend fresh turmeric and ginger roots with citrus and a touch of honey for a spicy, earthy, and energizing boost. Perfect for busy mornings, family gatherings, or whenever you need a healthy pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (about 1/4 cup) fresh turmeric root, peeled and chopped
  • 2 oz (about 1/4 cup) fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 2 medium lemons, freshly squeezed (about 1/3 cup juice)
  • 1 large orange, freshly squeezed (about 1/2 cup juice)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 12 tablespoons raw honey (optional, or maple syrup/agave for vegan)
  • 1/2 cup filtered water

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the fresh turmeric and ginger roots into rough chunks.
  2. Juice the lemons and orange, removing seeds if possible.
  3. Add chopped turmeric, ginger, citrus juices, black pepper, honey (if using), and filtered water to a high-speed blender.
  4. Blend on high for 60-90 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or measuring cup, pressing to extract all liquid.
  6. Pour the strained shots into small glass bottles or jars, seal, and refrigerate.
  7. Shake well before serving, as natural settling occurs. Pour 2-3 oz per shot and garnish as desired.

Notes

Use fresh roots for best flavor and nutrition. Strain well for a smooth texture. Black pepper is essential for curcumin absorption. Adjust sweetness and spice to taste. Shots keep for up to 5 days in the fridge and can be frozen in ice cube trays. For a tropical twist, substitute orange juice with pineapple juice. Always shake before serving.
