Warm, gooey caramel paired with sweet, spiced apples and crunchy pecans wrapped in a buttery crescent roll—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel, core, and dice the apples into small cubes. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples begin to soften and the sugar creates a caramel-like syrup. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Carefully unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into individual triangles as per the perforations.
  4. Place a small spoonful of the apple mixture onto the wider end of each triangle. Add a sprinkle of chopped pecans and a drizzle of caramel sauce (optional) over the filling.
  5. Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle tightly into a crescent shape, ensuring the filling stays inside.
  6. Place the rolled crescents onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly. Lightly brush each roll with melted butter for a golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Allow the rolls to cool for 5 minutes before drizzling with additional caramel sauce if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

[‘Choose firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best flavor.’, ‘Avoid overfilling the rolls to prevent them from bursting.’, ‘Work quickly with the crescent dough to prevent it from becoming sticky.’, ‘Use parchment paper or grease the baking sheet to prevent sticking.’, ‘Keep an eye on the rolls during the last few minutes of baking to avoid over-browning.’]
