Crisp apple slices dipped in luscious caramel and topped with your favorite treats like nuts, sprinkles, or chocolate drizzle. Perfect for parties or cozy nights at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 firm apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Assorted toppings (crushed peanuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, sea salt)
  • Wooden skewers or popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Cut them into thick slices, about 1/2 inch wide. Insert a wooden skewer or popsicle stick into each slice to create a handle.
  2. Place the apple slices in a bowl and toss them with a splash of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Heat the caramel sauce according to the package instructions or warm homemade caramel gently in a saucepan over low heat until smooth and pourable.
  4. Arrange toppings in small bowls or dishes for easy access.
  5. Dip each apple slice into the warm caramel sauce, letting any excess drip off. Rotate to coat evenly.
  6. Roll or sprinkle the dipped apple slices with chosen toppings while the caramel is still sticky. Press lightly to ensure they stick.
  7. Place the coated apple slices on a parchment-lined tray and let them sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the caramel to firm up.

Notes

Use firm apples for better texture and avoid overloading toppings to prevent dippers from falling apart. Reheat caramel sauce if it hardens during dipping.
