This Pizza Monkey Bread is a gooey, cheesy, pull-apart party appetizer packed with classic pizza flavors. Made with biscuit or pizza dough, mozzarella, pepperoni, and Italian seasonings, it’s a crowd-pleaser that’s quick, easy, and perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (16 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough (or pizza dough)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup mini pepperoni slices (or regular slices, chopped)
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or basil (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a 10-12 cup bundt pan with nonstick spray or softened butter.
  2. Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters (about 1-inch pieces). If using pizza dough, cut into 1-inch chunks.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
  4. Place dough pieces in a large bowl. Pour the garlic butter over the top and gently toss to coat every piece.
  5. Add half the buttered dough pieces to the bottom of the bundt pan. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella, half the pepperoni, and half the Parmesan. Repeat with remaining dough and toppings in another layer. Gently press down.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is deep golden brown and the cheese is bubbling. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil for the last 10 minutes.
  7. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes. Place a large plate or serving platter over the pan, then carefully invert to release the monkey bread. If it sticks, gently run a thin knife around the edges.
  8. Brush with extra melted butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley or basil if desired.
  9. Warm pizza sauce or marinara for dipping. Serve alongside the pizza monkey bread.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, skip the pepperoni and add veggies like bell peppers or olives. Use gluten-free or vegan substitutes as needed. Don’t overpack the pan to ensure even baking. Let cool before flipping for best results. Serve warm with plenty of dipping sauce.
