A festive, easy-to-make holiday drink featuring tart cranberry juice, bubbly champagne, and fresh cranberries. Perfect for brunches, parties, and celebrations, this mimosa brings a vibrant pop of color and flavor to any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) chilled champagne or sparkling wine (dry brut recommended)
  • 1 cup (8 oz) 100% cranberry juice (unsweetened or sweetened)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier, optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (for rimming glasses and sugaring cranberries)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for extra chill)

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons sugar onto a small plate. Moisten the rim of each champagne flute with a slice of orange or water, then dip into the sugar to coat.
  2. Chill champagne, cranberry juice, and glasses in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
  3. In each glass, pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice. If using orange liqueur, add about 1 teaspoon per glass.
  4. Top each glass with 1/2 cup chilled champagne or sparkling wine, pouring gently down the side to preserve bubbles.
  5. Garnish each flute with 3-4 fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary. For sugared cranberries, roll washed berries in simple syrup, then in sugar, and let dry for 10 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately while bubbly is fresh.

Notes

Chill all ingredients thoroughly for best fizz. Pour champagne last to avoid overflow. For non-alcoholic version, use sparkling water. Sugared cranberries and rosemary sprigs add festive flair. Assemble just before serving for maximum bubbles. Use frozen cranberries as garnish and chilling cubes.
