Golden-brown, crispy cauliflower coated in a rich sesame glaze that’s equal parts savory and sweet, with just a hint of heat. Perfect for any occasion, these wings are a healthier alternative to fried chicken wings.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (use gluten-free flour if needed)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp honey (swap with maple syrup for vegan option)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds, toasted for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, letting excess drip off, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat. Place florets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and sriracha. Simmer over low heat until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the baked cauliflower from the oven and toss in the sticky sesame glaze until evenly coated.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top before serving.
